So I have a bit of a thing for clicker idle games. I tried a lot of them out and found some gems, but most are just ads flying at you non-stop. Deep Town is different. It has depth. There are lots of items to craft and obtain and it always seems like there is more to do. The music might get repetitive, but it fits the atmosphere well and doesn't sound repetitive. There is only one track, but it is fairly long. To start off, you operate a mining laser and you have to tap to mine down further and setup miners and other various gadgets along the way.
You will probably want to find a guild to be in. I found a really nice guild that is still open to some new members called reddit is fun. They have been helpful with tips and resources. I really don't want to make the game go too fast, so I'm not requesting too much from them. It's a game you can take at your own pace. If you really want to grind, you can certainly get by alone.
There is some story to the game if you want to read into it. You don't feel at all like you are mindlessly doing tasks and handing up money for nothing. There are 8 robots that can be assigned various tasks. I'd suggest saving all your gems for them first before spending on anything else. Just like Clash of Clans, there are time based builds.
There is a backup and cloud system but it is a bit finnicky. You have to save manually and it doesn't work well with multiple devices, so consider devoting a device to this. Also, as of writing this, there is a bug with the names. Your in-game name is your Google Play gamertag. If you try changing it, it won't show you the change until you look at your name in a guild. You only get one chance to change your in-game name, so be careful.
